I find it amusing that Twenty-three states have adopted goals to move to 100 percent clean ELECTRICTY by 2050.

Of the electrical generation methods, wind and solar cannot compete with hydro, nuclear, coal, or natural gas:

• Wind and solar generates occasional electricity.

• Hydro, nuclear, coal, or natural gas generates continuous uninterruptible electricity.

Hello Ron,

Have a look at what is happening in Connecticut with the electricity sector. Connecticut has decommissioned all of its coal-fired capacity and is now approximately 60% reliant on natural gas and almost 40% on just one nuclear power plant that has only two reactors. To make matters worse the natural gas pipeline infrastructure is insufficient to supply the state's natural gas power plants and residential heating requirements particularly in winter. Connecticut politicians, seemingly oblivious to this accident waiting to happen - continue to promote wind and photovoltaic. Connecticut already competes with California for the highest energy prices in the country while simultaneously providing mediocre grid reliability. This is something I have had the displeasure to witness first hand...
