Re. Ukraine's minerals, I surmise that our presence there is the primary goal, the minerals are an excuse, a geopolitical chess move. Mining may be ultimately may be uneconomical though, there is very little public data, and Ukraine is obviously very corrupt.
That's a great comment - Ukraine is a crime scene. And Zelensky offered and possibly signed deals with other countries for the minerals - so would there be any value to the deal with Zelensky for the United States? In my opinion, it is better to write off the corruption, graft, and loss of money. I want to know what US politicians got paid back or bought off with the money - that is going to be critical to know. They all need to be primaried out of Congress- both republican and democrat. And if found guilty, tried for treason.
