If you’re a Doomberg subscriber, this sounded like a summary of many of their articles. It was an excellent show.

An interesting discussion Stu with Wasif Latif. Trump’s tariffs maybe they’re resetting global trade, not so sure about America’s industrial comeback though. What Trump is doing is a great job of environmental stewardship, as it seems the more he goes in for reducing environmental regulations the more the environment gains, strange that, but that’s nature of slowing things down. It’s not going to stop the collapse of global industrial civilisation, it’s just going to extend the time it takes. How can that possibly be you may ask, well straight from the horse’s mouth, sorry Trump’s mouth, The Guardian Thurs 1st May - “Donald Trump on Wednesday acknowledged that his tariffs could result in fewer and costlier products in the United States, saying American kids might “have two dolls instead of 30 dolls”. My goodness if Joe Biden had said anything like that in the run up to the presidential election, that the price of MAGA was kids getting less toys for their birthdays and Christmas like two dolls instead of 30 (being gender neutral that could be Ken and Barbie, though I’ve a feeling Ken could loose out), they’d have been a mass revolt of Democrats over to MAGA Trump. Still if that’s the price of MAGA keep it up as if for nothing else it’s good for the environment.

The Guardian “No Ken do: Trump says US kids may get ‘two dolls instead of 30’ due to tariffs” https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/may/01/trump-dolls-tariffs-war-china 🤔

Barry - outstanding points - and yes we need to do more with less, and I am doing that in my life, growing my own food, and doing with less things! And much happier. Too much junk is bad.

I’m pleased to hear that Stu, guess they’ll not be, seconds for anyone, no throwing another shrimp (steak) on the barbie then.

Segue. Hambone Littletail of HumptyDumptyTribe- Self professed Doomsday prophet, was doing his host a favour trimming a hedge from their roof when he fell badly, result he ended up in Hospital Trauma Unit, things went from worse to bad to worse in the course of his treatment, this is not a good advertisement form USA’s hospitals. I have never come across anything like this (citizen of UK) in our NHS. But I’ll let “ Hambone Littletail” explain “ A Mangled Moron Gets Discharged From the Trauma Unit (Or Not) Over His Dead Body” https://youtu.be/B-T7_cDd3N0?si=KkOZ3JXMu0Ol1FeY 😮🤔
